Trip

Hi,

Thought you might like to see Trip this week!

Sonny

Sonny is a puppy from Athena and Manny.

Sonny is now 9 ˝ weeks old. He loves to play and is just as eager to learn. Our old girl Lacy helps teach Sonny because he does as she does when I give a command along with a treat. In turn Sonny has helped revive Lacy’s playful spirit. She has no choice as he romps around her. She will give him a little snarl, he rolls on his belly submissively for just a second then goes back at her until she gets up and plays. It is quite funny to watch because once Lacy starts playing, she is just as energetic. The pic is one of the first naps they took together after a "Sonny" romp.

We all love him, but early morning is his and my time. He braves going up the long flight of stairs to go to bed in my room, but going downstairs in the morning is scary and he is not quite big enough so I carry him. I know that wont last for long, but the love in his eyes will.

Bobbi, your hard work and commitment to your dogs is so obvious and your patience with both animals and people is just amazing. Thank you.

Coda

Hi Bobbi,

I cant tell you how much we love Coda. She is amazing and so smart and so calm. She gets along with all of our pets. She is even very gentle with our bunny. She already lets us know when she needs to go Potty and she comes when and she is called. I can't believe it - at 8 weeks.

She had her first boat trip to the vineyard yesterday. She did great. She had so much fun digging and chasing fiddler crabs across the beach. She was a magnet. Everyone stopped to talk to us, and to touch her-she seemed to love the attention. We heard from so many people that they had a german shepherd when they were growing up. A very nostalgic moment for many. We had several families ask where we had got her so of course I told everyone all about you. She has brought such great joy to our family already, I can't thank you enough. She is a perfect fit. We will keep in touch and we will be sure to send pictures.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Zoey

ZoeyHi, Bobbi,

Wanted to send you some pics of my puppy Zoey born to Sampson and Gabby on December 31st, 2010. This was the black and tan female that I picked up on March 2nd. We are still so very happy with her. I may want to get a companion for her when she's a year old, so I might be back next year!

Enjoy!

Brody

Hi.

I thought since he will be a year old March 8th. I thought you might like to see how he is doing, and what a handsome pup he is.

We call him "Brody". He is now 83 pounds, and doing great, super smart. Everyone goes nuts with his coloring, and how super handsome he is.

I always check your website, but never see other pups from his litter.

I will attach a photo of him in the snow, he just loves snow.

He is having a great time being part of our pack with Tucker who is also a German Shepherd and 8 years old, and a little Eskie.

Fran
March 1st, 2011

P.S. he was from Muddy Creek Gabrielle and Sampson vom Birken Wald according to the paper work you gave me.

I sent two more photo's of our Brody. He is super smart. Anything we teach him, he learns immediately, and right away. He knows hand and voice signals both. He loves to cuddle, and loves to meet everyone and anyone. Yet, knows when he needs to protect. People always remark on his beautiful coat and markings and his unreal personality.

Thank you for allowing us to have such a beautiful pup in our life.

Cisco

Here is a picture from today of Cisco. Ill send more as the weeks go on. She is in her crate now..not happy at first but seems to be OK.

She was fine with the dog ( actually Alex loves her...maybe a bit too much! LOL), the cat hissed and Cisco ignored the cat...my other cat has not met her yet.

She is a love...she is not sure about the leash or the stairs...but Im sure she will be fine in a few days.

Thanks...we love her!

Here is an updated photo of Cisco to post. She is doing well and we love her. She is going to be starting training soon and has met the neighbors dogs. She was a bit scared at first but seems to be ok after she is aware they only want to play. She loves to play ball and run around in the yard with her brother Alex the Jack Russell.

Thanks,

Stacey

Sasha

Hi Bobbi,
Happy New Year to you and yours. Just wanted to write you a short note to let you know what a wonderful dog Sasha is. It's been over a year now since we have had her and she is turning into a great dog. Have had her in some obidence training which she did well in. I just can't get over what a love she is. Loves to be hugged and rubbbed. Follows me all around the house all day long. Is now begining to lie down at our feet when we sit or do the dishes. You said she might just take to one person but she has her own relationship with each one of us. I'm sure you have gotten E-mails similar to this all the time but it's always nice to have that confirmation that all the hard work you do is paying off. Hope you and your family are healthy and enjoying the season.

Brock

BrockHi Bobbi,

Thought I would send an update pic of Brock. If you kept his last pic you'll be able to see the difference

Even though my husband bought Brock for me, he's definately my husbands boy. He's so much loved. Just thought I'd share.

Thanks again for our handsome boy

Bella

Hi Bobbi,
Bella is doing great. She is starting to get the potty training, and we are working with her on going up and down stairs. She is learning her name and knows the "sit" command. She has met many new dog friends and does great going on walks with them. I took her to the vets last week and had at least 4 people comment on what a beautiful puppy she is and excellent temperment so I gave your name out because they wanted to know where I got her. She had a healthy check up and is doing great.

Thanks,

Lisa

Max

Hey Bobbi,
Its Keith, and the puppy we picked up May 27th is doing great. We named him Max and he knows his name and also sits when asked and barks to go out for business and he also speaks when a treat is involved.
We couldnt be more happier with this beautiful shepard that we got from you. So if you like to give me a call anytime for up dates on Max please do, thanks again....

Fenja

Hey Bobbi,

Here are some recent pictures of Fenja (Vara/Dasso '10) and Thor (Sammy/Sampson '09):

Thor and Fenja love the high ground of the White Mountains Fenja "guarding" the mountaintop!

Fenja

Hi Bobbi,

We wanted you to know we are really enjoying Fenja (Dasso/Vara '10). She is happy and having a great time with the kids and Thor (Sampson/Sammy '09).

She never lets the kids out of her sight. Very in tune with children. Thor has been surprisingly welcoming, and I think truly loves having her here, much to our shock. What amazes us is how different they are. He is obsessed with commands and his ball, and she is obsessed with chasing birds, squirrels, dragonflies and anything that moves.

Our vet went nuts over her at her check up. She spent two hours oohing and awing over her! I've never spent more than 10 minutes at a vet's office! Keep up the good work. You manage a fabulous farm, stable and kennel. It is peaceful, quiet, meticulously clean and your breeding dogs produce fabulous pups.

Fondly,

The Munsons

Shoka

Hi Bobbi,
Thought you'd like to see some pics of our Shoka. She's really a beautiful dog. Bit of a handful at times, (don't think there's anything she hasn't gotten into) but we love her lots! Wicked smart and very friendly to people and other dogs as well. She still hasn't taken a true liking to riding in my truck but seems to do alright in Anne's car. This too will come I'm sure. Anne has taught her a few tricks and she learns really fast! We get compliments all the time and have given your cards to a few people. Hope you get some contacts out of it.
She's 6 months. We'll send more as she grows.

Kaiser

I hope all is well at Harmon stables.

Kaiser and Baron are proving to be great advertising for you. Besides Jen, Jimmy and Casey, several others should be contacting you about puppies. These 2 puppies are the best gsd's I have ever owned, and I have had great dogs.

I have included some pictures. Kaiser is 11 months and Baron is 5 months. They are best friends and share everything.

Thank you Bobbi for giving such heart and soul to your dogs. It certainly shows.

Denali

The little girl I brought home last weekend is doing great. I've named her Denali and she's as good as a puppy can possibly be.

I was wondering if you could tell me how you used to clip her nails? They're nice and short and I'd like to continue whatever you started.

I've attached some pictures of her first boat ride!

Thor

ThorHope all is well at Tarawoods. We got Thor, a pup of Sampson and Sammy's last fall.

This is a picture of Thor on his first birthday, May 19. He's now 175 pounds, with 100 pounds of that in his head!

Just joking. He's not really as big as he looks in the picture, but he is a big boy and is doing great. We've had a tremendous amount of compliments on him, actually someone always comments on him everywhere we go -- usually about how they love the big head, the straight back and his trot/gait.

He has incredible speed, is a ball fanatic, a fantastic swimmer and lots of fun. If you ever hear from any of the other pup owners from Thor's litter who are interested in a little reunion, please let us know. I think it would be fun.

You have some new dogs on your website who look great.

Keep up the good work,

Fondly,

Thor
Son of Sammy and Sampson.

Hi Bobbi,

I hope all is well on the ranch. Love all the pictures and stories about the puppies.

We purchased "Thor" in Oct. when he was four months; he is from Sammy and Sampson's May 19 litter. Thor is proving to be quite a dog. And I need your advice/recommendations.

He is exceptionally intelligent. Over the years, my family has owned 4 GSDs. Thor is by far the most intelligent GSD I've had the pleasure of including in our family.

He literally learned his name, "sit," "down," and "come," in less than two days. He became proficient at "stay" in those commands in two days. He learned "high five" in five minutes.

Today, I saw something I've never seen. I was on a hike with a Weimeramer and Golden Retriever and Thor. He is best buddies with the Golden (Wilson). Well, Wilson was up ahead about 25 feet in front of Thor. I guess Thor wanted to be in front and "one-up" Wilson, so he broke into a full sprint, and as he approached Wilson he literally leaped over him with the grace and ease of a rack star running the hurdles and kept trotting. Everyone stopped in their tracks and could not believe what they'd seen.

I have seen him find things in the woods that we've hidden without effort, glide through logs and forest undergrowth with extraordinary ease, traverse hillsides like it was a walk in the park.

He has amazing agility, excellent temperament and drive, drive, drive.

So here's my question: can you recommend a Schutzhund class/trainer?
I'm not really interested in Schutzhund III (bite/protection), but something for him to expand his natural talents. I fear if I don't, he will become bored and sad. He needs it.

Recommendations welcome for trainers/classes or a referral to someone who has had a good experience with a class would be welcome.

Thor
Son of Sammy and Sampson.

We are truly enjoying Thor. It is amazing how in just over one week, an animal can become such a part of a family.
He is well behaved, house trained, crate trained and a little gentleman. He has a terrific disposition, is great with our young kids and superb with our 17 year old Dachshund. We are working on greeting 4-legged friends while he's on the leash and walking with us... not pulling us!

It is obvious you have a true passion for GSD's. It shows in everything Thor does. His lineage and first few months with you and your family and the setting in which he was raised have set him on a great path in life.

We have had so many compliments on him. In fact, we took him to our local feed store last week to get him a large crate. A customer came up to us and was commenting on how handsome he is -- and he should know. He used to breed Rin Tin Tin's heirs.

Hi,

We're sending a picture of Hank multi tasking. He likes to have a tennis ball and chew toy in his mouth at the same time. He is the best pup ever, and a great addition to our family.

Mous

Hi!

Mous was just at the vet for a check up and his rabies, and his vet asked me when I was thinking of neutering him. She thinks I should have it done when he's 5 or 6 months old. I'm just wondering if this will affect his legginess or his build as an adult. It just sounded like a young age to me, so I figured I'd ask you. Let me know what you think.
Oh, and Mous is still a jerk about taking pictures, but I have attached a cute one that he took with me the other day.

Thanks,

Melissa

Eva

Her name is Eva and she is already responding to it.!

Her first night was easy and calm. The ride home was content, explored the yard and romped with the kids... she slept quite soundly, (better than me) in her new crate right next to our bed, where I could reach her. She has gone outside to do all her business and seems to get the outside potty idea. Stairs are a little scary still.

She has chew bones so she won't chew anything else. She'll take one in her crate, then about 8 minutes later she'll move it under the mudroom table, lay down and chew 8 minutes...back and forth, chew chew chew. The funniest thing was that we have iron doggy doorstops all over the house (built in 1750, lots of latch doors that won't stay open on their own) and when she noticed one, she sniffed its butt. Just in case.
